In an era where data breaches and cyber threats are on the rise, protecting your corporate accounts and sensitive information has become a paramount concern. This is where 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) comes into play. By adding an extra layer of security, 2FA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your accounts, ensuring your Merchant information remains safe and confidential.
When 2FA is enabled on your Groupon Merchant account, you create an additional barrier that malicious actors must overcome to gain unauthorized access. Even if your login credentials are compromised, the second factor of authentication provides an added layer of protection. This extra step acts as a powerful deterrent, making it exponentially more difficult for attackers to breach your account and compromise your business information, such as financial details or customer data.
Groupon’s 2-Factor Authentication uses a mobile authentication app to verify your identity. When enrolled, after entering your login credentials, you will be prompted to provide a second form of authentication/ This will be a unique code obtained from the authentication services. This additional step acts as a powerful safeguard, as even if someone manages to obtain your password, they won't be able to access your Merchant account without the second factor.
