The Deal
Following a 15-minute preparatory session, aspiring aviators can take to the skies for a 45-minute flight in one of the Wicklow Wings' club aircraft. The flight will take in picturesque views of the Wicklow Hills, where pupils will be able to take the controls under the supervision of the pilot. Each individual will also receive a 12-month membership to Wicklow Wings, giving them priority access to further flights and benefits.
The Merchant
The Newcastle Airfield is a 40-minute drive from central Dublin. The 690-metre runway at Newcastle Airfield is parked on the scenic East Coast and runs flights until 8pm daily. The airfield is home to an impressive fleet of both vintage and modern aircraft, including microlight, taildragger, fixed wing and rotary models. A range of classes are offered, with tuition in microlight/ flexwing, fixed wing or helicopter flight, as well as search and rescue training.
