What does laser teeth whitening involve?

A non-peroxide sodium bicarbonate solution is applied to teeth and a plastic mouthpiece is inserted. A laser is then focused on teeth to activate the solution. This treatment is designed to reduce yellow staining and return teeth to their earlier, natural colour.

What happens at sessions?

First, a consultation is held to help ensure suitability and address any questions. The treatment is then performed over the course of 30 or 60 minutes, depending on the option chosen.

Does the treatment lighten crowns?

No, only natural teeth are affected. Crowns, fillings and other dental work remain the same colour, although some surface stains may be removed.

What does aftercare involve?

Clients should not eat or drink dark, staining substances for 24 hours after the session. These include coffee, tea, red wine and cola; smoking should also be avoided.
