The focus of deep tissue treatment is on areas of the body where discomfort, tension, tightness and soreness may be felt, instead of the whole body. With generally strong pressure applied during the treatment, feedback is required so that this can be altered based on your requirements. However, the force has to be able get deep enough so that treatment can help release knots and break up scar tissue.

Sports Massage The pressure applied in sports massage is ideal for those who take part in regular physical activity. This type of massage generally uses a variety of techniques that are faster with strong sustained deep pressure. This whole process helps progress tissue repair, muscle recovery and return to activity. As a result, sports massage can be used before taking part in physical activity, to increase mobility and flexibility, as well as after exercise.
