The Deal

This medical package will begin with a full consultation and discussion of medical history. This is followed by a thorough physical examination where any concerns can be addressed. A blood test will aim to assess clients’ blood count, blood sugar, liver and kidney profile. The check-up also includes a urine analysis, a full lipid and cholesterol profile, a thyroid function check, and an iron and rubella titre test when indicated. For male patients, a prostate test is designed to screen for prostate cancer in those aged over 40. Women aged 25 to 60 will also be offered a cervical screening test if eligible, designed to detect abnormal cells on the cervix. Customers can choose between two locations in Churchtown or Rathmines.

The Merchant

The male and female duo of GPs operating Rafter’s Medical Centre in Churchtown and Rathmines provide wide-ranging services that span health screening and vaccines to skins treatments and counselling. Both are also qualified to perform minor surgery and cryotherapy.
