About King John's Castle
Situated in the heart of the medieval Limerick City, the King John's Castle boasts an exhibition that brings to life over 800 years of local history. The 13th century castle reopened in 2013 after going through complex renovation, which now enables visitors to experience the medieval times through computer animations, projections, discovery drawers and touchscreens. The castle also houses a café with views onto the courtyard and the Shannon river.
