The Knitting and Stitching Show
The Knitting and Stitching Show comes to Simmonscourt to showcase all aspects of craft, from crochet and patchwork to beadwork, embroidery and dressmaking. An array of over 200 suppliers will offer a wide range of craft and textile tools and materials such as haberdashery, threads, kits, patterns, books, needles and much more. The show is also a chance to peruse the work of international textile artists and groups, including Cos Ahmet, Jean Beaney, Jan Littlejohn, Irish Patchwork Society and Cork Textile Network. Crafters and textile lovers may also engage in the Learning Curve programme offering a selection of workshops from Carrickmacross and Irish lace, to patchwork and quilting. With open galleries and plenty of activities, the show combines learning, shopping and creating experiences.
