The National Leprechaun Museum
The National Leprechaun Museum aims to get visitors exploring Irish cultural identity through a wealth of mythology, folklore and stories about the diminutive beings. Located in Dublin, the museum presents a guided tour through a series of interactive experiences associated with leprechauns, from the first sighting in the eighth century to their impact on modern-day pop culture. Entry gives visitors the chance to explore beneath the Giant’s Causeway, before moving on to fairy hill, a leprechaun-sized world and finally on to the end of the rainbow in search of the legendary crock of gold. The ticket also includes entry to a live 60-minute interactive story-telling experience exploring the darker side of Irish folklore. Aimed at adults, participants are transported to Knock Duff, a town stuck in a spiral of despair. Visitors will be dressed up by the cast and invited to perform alongside them in this darkly comic adventure to find out what is behind the failing crops and disappearances of townspeople.
