Travel via the the Wicklow Mountains to the monastic site of Glendalough, where panoramic views of the landscape can be seen. The natural beauty of the area has been featured in films such as ‘P.S. I Love You’ and ‘Braveheart’, to name a few. Take a couple of hours to explore the surroundings, including the ruined monastic city that dates back to the 10th century.
Leaving Glendalough, the tour will head to the little town of Kilkenny. Known for its medieval feel, picturesque castle and cobbled streets, Kilkenny is a town steeped in history and folklore. Visit the gardens of the famed Norman Castle, the Black Abbey and St. Canice’s Cathedral.
