First-Time Use

• Wash the dish in warm water with washing-up liquid before use
• Rinse the dish thoroughly and dry it carefully
• Grease the interior with a little vegetable oil
• Heat the product for a few minutes on low fire and wipe off the excess oil

Please Note

• Cooking on medium heat is recommended (cast iron can retain heat superbly and continuous high heat can lead to sticking)
• When taking a casserole dish off the heat source, always lift it and never pull or slide it as this could damage the cooking ring
• While cooking, the handles will become hot. For your own safety, always use oven mitts or potholders to lift or move cookware
• Avoid using metal kitchen utensils that could damage the enamel. Always use heat-resistant wooden or silicone kitchen utensils
• To avoid damaging the enamel, never cut anything directly in the casserole dish
• Never put a hot casserole dish on an unprotected surface. Use a heat-resistant trivet
• Cooking utensil can also be used in the oven (always put it on the grate)
• Always let the cookware cool off before immersing it in water. Never immerse hot cookware in cold water, because that can cause thermal shock to it and damage the enamel
• Do not use scrubbing sponges or aggressive cleaning agents
• Always dry cookware thoroughly. In the course of time, rust spots might appear on the edge of the casserole dish. In that case, carefully rub some oil on these spots
